Shawn Worthen, a 2011 TCU Hall of Famer, returned to his alma mater in July 2012 and serves as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Academic Services.
A three-time all-conference selection during his Horned Frog playing days, heΒ started 35 games and earned All-American honors as a senior in 2000 when the Frogs led the nation in both total defense and scoring defense. The San Antonio native was a fourth round selection of the Minnesota Vikings in 2001 and also played with the Houston Texans before beginning his career in athletic administration.
After moving up from graduate assistant to assistant director, WorthenΒ worked at UTSAΒ as an assistant athletics director from 2010-12. He then came back to TCU as an assistant athletics directorΒ in 2012 before being promoted to associate athletics director in 2016.
