SENIOR (2020-21)
Placed third in the 100 freestyle and placed second in the 200 back against Missouri (Oct. 16)… Earned third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.66 against Kansas (Oct. 17)… Swam on the winning 200 yard medley relay against SMU with a time of 1:43.17… Finished sixth at the Big 12 Championships in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.16.
JUNIOR (2019-20)
Finished first at the 50 yard backstroke (27.56) and placed first in the 100 yard IM (59.80) and in the 200 yard IM (2:11.14) at the TCU vs. UTPB in Fort Worth (Sep. 20) ... Placed 12th in the 400 yard IM (4:31.89), 11th in the 100 yard backstroke (57.92), 13th in the 200 yard backstroke (2:07.49), and 11th in the 200 yard IM (2:08.03) in the TYR Fall Classic at FIU (Oct.4-5) ... Won the 200 yard backstroke (2:04.32) and third in the 100 yard freestyle (52.97), was part of the 200 yard freestyle relay and placed first (1:37.34) in the Pepperdine Malibu Invite at Malibu (Oct.11-12) ... Placed third in the 100 yard backstroke (58.29), fifth in the 200 yard backstroke (2:09.63), and sixth in the 200 yard IM (2:13.94) in the vs. SMU meet at Fort Worth (Oct.25) ... Part of the 400 free relay team that finished fourth (3:38.87) and seventh in the 100 free (55.00) at Iowa State (Nov. 10) … placed second in the 200 IM (2:28.08) vs. West Virginia (Jan. 13) … finished third in the 200 free (1:57.73) and part of 400 free team that finished second (3:33.86) at North Texas (Jan. 26) … placed fourth in the 100 breast (1:11.90) at Texas (Feb. 2) … placed eighth in the 200 free (1:50.72) at the Big 12 Championships (Feb. 23)
PERSONAL
Kenchel comes to TCU from Evergreen High School where she primarily swims freestyle and individual medley events. She recently took home gold in the 200 long course free at the Western Senior Zone Championships. She logged a fourth-place finish in the 100 free at the 2014 Colorado State Championships. She holds personal-best times of 1:50.0 (200 Free), 50.7 (100 Free) and 2:03.1 (200 IM). She plans of majoring in interior design.
