JUNIOR (2020-21)
Finished fourth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.80 against Texas A&M (Nov. 6)… Placed seventh in both the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle against Florida State (Nov. 14).
SOPHOMORE (2019-20)
Placed fourth in the 50 yard freestyle (21.28) was part of the 200 yard freestyle relay and finished first (1:23.86) in the Pepperdine Malibu Invite at Malibu (Oct.11-12) ... Placed third in the 50 yard freestyle (21.45) and fourth in the 100 yard freestyle (47.25), was part of the 200 yard medley relay and placed first (1:31.89) and won the 400 yard freestyle relay (3:04.11) at the vs. SMU meet in Fort Worth (Oct. 25).
FRESHMAN (2018-19)
Part of the 200 medley relay team that placed second (1:36.59) and placed fourth in the 50 free (22.16) in season opener at home with UT-Permian Basin (Sept. 22) … was part of the 200 free relay that finished fourth (1:25.50) and was part of the 400 free team that finished fourth (3:07.73) at the TYR Fall Classic in Miami (Oct. 5-6) … placed fourth in the 50 free (21.69) in home meet vs. Trinity (Nov. 10) … placed third in the 100 breast (59.18) and third in the 100 free (46.85) and was part of the 200 free relay that finished second (1:24.36) at College Station (Dec. 1) … finished third in the 100 breast (1:00.57), second in the 50 free (21.50) and was part of the first-place team in the 200 medley relay (1:35.16) at home against Ouachita Baptist (Dec. 8) … was part of the 200 free relay that finished third (1:25.41), placed fourth in the 50 free (21.42) and fifth in the 100 free (47.01) at West Virginia (Jan. 12) … finished fifth in the 50 free (20.12), seventh in the 100 breast (56.10), part of the 200 free relay team that finished second (1:20.69), part of the 200 medley relay team that finished third (1:29.60), eighth in the 100 free (44.99), part of 400 free relay team that finished third (2:58.65) at the Big 12 Championships in Austin (Feb. 27-March 3)
PERSONAL
Boersma comes to TCU from Ruston, La., as a sprint freestyler. He had a productive summer, reaching the 50 and 100 free finals at the NCSA Junior National Championships. At the state level, he was a five-time Louisiana 13 & Over State champion, and a six-time finalist. Over the course of his high school career, he earned two USA Swimming Scholastic All-America honors.
"Jackson had an outstanding senior season, and just concluded racing this summer by being a finalist at the NCSA Junior National Championships," James Winchester said. "From my conversations with Jackson so far, he is someone who truly appreciates everything TCU has to offer. I'm really excited to work with him and see what he can do."
