Clinic and Tryout Information for the 2025-2026 Season
Non-Mandatory Clinic:
Saturday, March 1 - 11 to 1 p.m.: John Justin Club Fields
● Clinic is free of charge and is not mandatory to attend to be eligible for tryouts. Clinic will be held to Practice running flags, cheers, and more. Current team members and Coaches will be in attendance to ask questions and meet the team.
Tryouts:
Friday, April 4 & Saturday, April 5
● Tryouts will consist of an interview with Coaches, and a 2 day tryout process. Candidates will receive an interview sign up link, after completing and submitting the Ranger Application, with all requested documents.

First Round: Friday April 4, 5-9 p.m.
Second & Third Rounds: Saturday, April 5, 7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Ranger Tryout Material
The material evaluated at tryouts will be available HERE starting on Feb. 28, 2025 prior to the Tryouts on April 4. This allows time to learn the material prior to our tryouts. Participants are to learn material prior to tryouts. Material will not be taught at tryouts.

Tentative Tryout Schedule*

Female Attire for interviews: Business Formal Attire. This may look like: A tailored pantsuit or skirt suit. A conservative, button-down blouse or top. A knee-length pencil skirt or tailored pants. Any option should fit well and maintain a professional, clean-cut look.
Male Attire for interviews: Business Formal Attire. This may look like: A -tailored suit with a crisp, long-sleeved dress shirt. Tailed business slacks and dress shoes.
Female attire for Tryouts: Solid Black Shorts (no spandex) and Solid White Athletic T-Shirt (no cleavage). No writing/advertisement on clothing other than TCU paraphernalia. Athletic Shoes.
Hair needs to be styled up. Make up should complement your natural beauty. Please remember, we are a performance group, and you should wear makeup that enhances your features from a distance.
Male attire for Tryouts: Clean cut hair style; facial hair groomed. Solid White Athletic T-Shirt and Solid Black Shorts. No writing/advertisement on clothing other than TCU paraphernalia. Athletic Shoes.

APPLICATION TO TRYOUT
All participants must be full time TCU students, transfer students, or incoming freshman with proof of acceptance to TCU. Current students must be enrolled in 12+ hours to be eligible.
The Online Tryout Application must be submitted no later than Friday March 21 by 10 p.m.
IMPORTANT: The following items are needed prior to completing the online application. *all available to download in application.
1. 1 current headshot OR full body photo
2. Proof of Enrollment*
3. Signed Risk & Release Form**
4. Signed Expectations Form
5. Signed Team Decisions Form
6. Completed Pre-participation Medical History Form
7. Copy of Physical Examination completed and signed by physician within the past 6 months.
8. Copy of Health Insurance (front and back)**
9. Candidate Evaluation Form**** (linked in application to download and send to current coach)
10. Uniform Sizing Form*****
11. Tryout Fee: $50 Cash or Check, MUST be brought to the candidates interview time slot on the day they signed up for. No other forms of payment will be acceptable. Make checks out to “TCU Rangers”, memo: “Ranger Tryouts.”
* Those currently enrolled at TCU must include unofficial transcript (available at my.tcu.edu)
** Freshman or Transfer Students must be in the process of admission to TCU prior to tryouts. Please visit www.admission.tcu.edu for more information. In addition, we ask that you provide your status of admission to the University with a copy of your letter of acceptance or correspondence showing that you are on the wait list.
*** Physical Examination MUST be completed by a doctor within the past 6 months. No exceptions.
*****Each Ranger on the team has a custom uniform, tailored to them. Due to production times, we request uniform sizing with the application to speed up the ordering process the following week, concluding tryouts. Only those who make the team will be ordered a uniform.
