Nov. 26, 2002
FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU Athletics Department has announced that it will be extending a special offer to Horned Frog fans who will be attending this weekend's athletic events on campus. The TCU football team hosts Memphis on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Amon G. Carter Stadium, while the TCU men's basketball team hosts Washington State at 7:05 p.m. at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
As a thank you during the Thanksgiving holiday, TCU is offering a 2-for-1 ticket deal to the men's basketball game. In order to receive the special buy-one, get-one-free deal, fans must bring their TCU-Memphis football game ticket stub to the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum ticket booth following the completion of the football game.
When the Frogs battle the Memphis Tigers on Saturday afternoon, the TCU football team (8-2) will be playing for a conference championship and a possible bid to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tenn. on Dec. 31. Meanwhile, the basketball team is looking to improve to 2-1 under first-year head coach Neil Dougherty.
In addition, between games TCU faithful will have their first chance to get an up-close look at the new state-of-the-art home of Horned Frog baseball Saturday afternoon. Lupton Stadium and Williams-Reilly Field will be open to the public and available for tours and seat selection for season tickets immediately following the football showdown between TCU and Memphis. Admission to the Open House and "Select Your Seat" event is free.
