Thank You Students and Frog Fans
Nov. 18, 2003
Dear Students and Frog Fans:
Give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done.
You did what we asked you to do. You came to the games in record numbers, you wore your purple with pride, you stood and cheered and gave our team a significant home field advantage in Amon G. Carter Stadium.
You helped our football team extend its home winning streak to 13 consecutive games, the longest in school history. You helped us break into the top 10 in both polls and into the mix for a BCS Bowl berth. You helped give the national media something to talk about. You helped put TCU on the map in college football.
You made a statement.
No matter how the remainder of the season plays out, this has been a special football season at TCU, one that will be remembered for years to come. You should take great pride in knowing you had a part in making it happen.
I've received numerous letters, calls and e-mails from TCU alumni and fans in the area, across the state and around the world and they are so proud of what's transpired in Fort Worth this fall. They speak not only of how well the team has handled itself with class on and off the field, but how the student body and the Fort Worth community have gotten behind this program and have taken it to another level.
On behalf of the TCU football team and the TCU athletics department, thank you for a job well done.
Go Frogs!
Eric Hyman
TCU Director of Athletics
