Sept. 14, 2001
FORT WORTH, Texas - In conjunction with WBAP and ABC Radio, TCU helped raise more than $35,000 in just four hours on Friday morning for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Approximately 110 student-athletes and numerous coaches and staff members participated in the "Change for America" event, which took place from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on the east side of Amon Carter Stadium. The student-athletes, coaches and staff handed out American flags, pins and ribbons as well as TCU football tickets at the event. In all, TCU gave away more than 1,300 tickets for the Frogs' football game against East Carolina on October 30. The Horned Frog Family thanks all who contributed to this effort!
