TCU Athletics Teams Up to Host Change For America
Sept. 13, 2001
FORT WORTH, Texas - In conjunction with WBAP and ABC Radio, TCU Athletics will host an event entitled "Change for America" on Friday morning from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on the east side of Amon Carter Stadium on the TCU campus.
Hosting the event at a public arena allows Fort Worth/Dallas residents an opportunity to donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to help the victims of Tuesday's tragic events in New York City and Washington D.C. To show their appreciation to the donors, TCU will provide two free tickets to the TCU/East Carolina football game on October 30 for anyone who donates to the Red Cross at the event on Friday.
"Our hearts are heavy," said TCU Athletics Director Eric Hyman. "This gives our community another opportunity to come together in support of the relief efforts."
In addition, the WBAP Morning Show will broadcast live from Daniel-Meyer Coliseum, which is located at 2900 Stadium Drive in Fort Worth. Anyone seeking further information may contact the TCU Athletics Department at (817) 257-7969.
