The Great Frog Cook-Off
Do you have what it takes to become the champion of the first annual "Great Frog Cook-Off"? This special event will test the tailgating and barbecue skills of our Horned Frog fans. Here is what you need to know to get involved with event.
Participants will be graded on four different categories including:
- Presentation
- Taste
- Decoration
- Enthusiasm
These celebrity judges will be voting on the winner and runner-up:
- Bud Kennedy--Fort Worth Star Telegram
- Charlie Geren--Railhaid Smokehouse
- Scott Mastellar--ESPN Radio
1st Place will receive:
- Barbecue feast provided by Railhead Smokehouse for the Homecoming game vs. Army on October 20th
- Autographed Sammy Baugh poster
- Women's Basketball family season ticket package
- Two (2) ESPN Radio prize packs
- Automatic entry into next year's "Great Frog Cook-Off"
Runner-up will receive:
- Two (2) ESPN Radio prize packs
- Automatic entry into next year's "Great Frog Cook-Off"
Ten (10) individuals will be selected from the pre-game tailgating festivities at the Northwestern State game on September 22nd to be contestants. A TCU representative will be walking through the parking lot on Saturday to pick out the best and innovative ten (10) tailgates. An additional ten (10) individuals can be participants in this event if they call 817-257-6108 and mention that they noticed the "Great Frog Cook-Off" promotion on the internet. The first 10 callers will reserve their spot as contestants.
The twenty (20) chosen contestants will compete on Saturday, October 20th prior to the Army game to claim the title of champion of the "Great Frog Cook-Off."
