Four Added To TCU Athletics Department

TCU has filled four full-time positions in their athletics department, Athletics Director Eric Hyman announced today. Chris Uchacz, Travis Reust, Kelly Imig and Drew Myers have recently joined the athletics department staff.
Uchacz has been named as the Director of Academic Services. Uchacz (pronounced U-chek) comes to Fort Worth after spending five years in the UT-Pan American athletic department, the final two as the UTPA Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Support and Student Services. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Illinois, Uchacz holds a Master's degree in human kinetics from the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, and an Honors degree in physical education from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.
Reust has joined Don Sommer's staff an assistant strength and conditioning coach. Reust, an Oklahoma City native, spent the past two years as an assistant speed-strength and conditioning coach at the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he coordinated the training programs for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf and women's tennis. He also assisted with the Buffaloes' football program. Reust earned both his bachelor's (education) and Master's (sports administration) degrees from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.
Imig has accepted a position as an Assistant Director of Marketing. Her focus will primarily be on the marketing of men's basketball. Imig is a 2001 graduate of TCU with a degree in psychology. She has worked most recently as the Director of the TCU Phonathon/Annual Fund Officer where she was responsible for raising $630,000 over the past three years. She also is involved in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Tarrant Country program and was the 2001 Big Sister of the Year in Fort Worth.
Myers has been hired as the Assistant Director of Football Operations. In that role he will help manage team travel preparations and aid in the coordination of recruiting prospective student-athletes. He also will serve as the pro scout liaison. Myers joins the TCU staff from Blinn Junior College where he served for three years as a secondary coach and as Director of Football Operations. He is a 1997 graduate of Midwestern State University with a degree in journalism and worked for two years in the school's admissions department. He is currently completing a Master's degree from Prairie View A&M in educational administration.
