Conference USA and its member institutions are proud to join in the nationwide celebration of the 17th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day on February 5. On this day, thousands of sport educators, coaches, athletes, athletics administrators and corporate partners sponsor events and participate in activities that focus attention on issues involving girls and women in sports. Conference USA recognizes the value of sports participation for women and the important role it plays in preparing student-athletes for the future. This year, the league's annual celebration of NGWSD has become a part of the "Be There" campaign (see right), developed by the conference to elevate public awareness about C-USA women's athletics.
