JUNIOR (2005-06) - Member of the second-team All-Mountain West Conference 200-free relay and 800-free relay squads...won the 200-free event (1:54.27) against Missouri State and at BYU (1:54.86)...member of the 800-free relay team that earned the school[apos]s second-best time (7:30.04)...participated in the team[apos]s 200-free relay squad that recorded the school[apos]s third-best time (1:34.25)...took part in the 400-free relay team that placed the fourth-best time in school history (3:28.01).
SOPHOMORE (2004-2005) - Earned three conference medals (two gold, one silver) as a member of three separate relays... finished with an NCAA 'B' qualifying time of 1:33.01 in the 200-free relay, which was both a meet and school record... also set a meet and school record in winning the 800-free relay (7:25.96)... helped the team gain runner-up honors in the 400-free relay (3:25.74)... also finished ninth in the 200-free (1:52.83), 11th in the 50-free (24.21) and 12th in the 100-free (52.10).
FRESHMAN (2003-2004) - Paced the team in the 200-free... earned all-conference honors in three events... won the 200-free (1:51.43) at the C-USA Championships... member of the winning 400- and 800-free relays (3:25.36) 7:32.38)... also finished fourth in the 100-free (51.53) and fifth in the 500-free (5:00.65) at the championship... swam four events in the Texas Invitational, finishing 19th in the 100-meter free (1:00.05)... named TCU[apos]s Freshman of the Year.
High School - Four-time All-America selection... state finalist all four years... swam in three relays at 2003 spring nationals... three-time District Swimmer of the Year... four-year letterwinner.
Personal - Karen Sandifer is the daughter of Randy and Carla Sandifer... brother, Collin, was a member of the TCU swimming team from 2000-04 and was an all-C-USA selection... is an education major.
