SOPHOMORE (2005-06) - Participated in the 1650-free at the Mountain West Conference Championships...won the 500-free event (5:14.99) against North Texas and Incarnate Word...took part in six events during the season...earned the team[apos]s Academic Award.
FRESHMAN (2004-2005) - Competed in three events at the Conference USA Championships... finished 11th in the 1650-free (17:37.07), 13th in the 200-fly (2:11.21) and 17th in the 400-IM (4:39.24)... was named the team[apos]s 'Unselfish Team Player'... also received the team[apos]s 'small star' award... Conference USA Honor Roll.
High School - Four-year all-state selection in 400-free, 400-free relay and 200-medley relay... all-state as a senior in the 200-IM... also excelled at water polo, earning three all-state and two All-America honors.
Personal - Michelle Pottenger is the daughter of Jeff and Lois Pottenger... twin sister, Maribeth, is also a senior on the TCU swimming and diving team... sister, Stephanie, plays water polo at the University of Hawaii... majoring in movement science with a minor in psychology.
