
Douglas Takes Silver in 400m Hurdles at Texas Relays

AUSTIN – Racing in the 400m hurdles final at the 98th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Friday, TCU track and field's Jayden Douglas earned a second-place finish, tying his own school record.
Douglas ran a 49.81, tying his career best time in the event. He used a strong final 100m to nearly chase down Texas' Kody Blackwood for gold. The junior's time also ranks as the fifth fastest in the NCAA so far in 2026.
The day started with a strong 4x100m result from the women. The Frogs qualified for Saturday's final with a 43.67, the No. 7 time in the nation so far this season.
In the prelims of the 100m dash, London Tucker had a strong performance. The sophomore punched her ticket to the final with a season-best 11.21 (2.8 m/s), securing the seventh position.
TCU also saw top five finishes in the A Section of the University/College Javelin Throw from Sydney Juszczyk. She recorded the fifth best throw with a 46.98m (154-01). Serina Rameriz also had a strong showing in the University/College Shot Put. She placed third with a personal best 14.73m (48-4), the No. 7 throw in school history.
The Frogs also saw a pair of top five relay finishes. The women placed fourth overall in the sprint medley relay with a time of 3:46.00, and the men grabbed third in the distance medley relay with a 9:46.16.
