Strosnider homers twice in the win
FORT WORTH – Two home runs from TCU's Sawyer Strosnider highlighted a 12-1 run-rule victory over UT Arlington to stretch its winning streak to a season-long seven games. The Horned Frogs wrapped up an undefeated five-game homestand.
The Rundown
UT Arlington took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second, but it was short lived as the Frogs struck for a pair in the bottom of the frame. Rob Liddington battled through an 11-pitch at-bat, ultimately smacking a two-run home run to left center for a 2-1 lead. Sawyer Strosnider's first home run of the game led off the bottom of the third for a 3-1 advantage.
TCU broke the game open with seven runs on seven hits in the fourth. Jack Bell kicked started the inning with a base knock and was on third following a Liddington double. Lucas Franco hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the first run of the frame. Jack Arthur's second double of the game drove in Liddington and he scored on a Strosnider ground out for a 6-1 lead.
After a walk to Chase Brunson, Noah Franco delivered an RBI-single. Brady Dallimore dumped a single into right for a 9-1 lead. Bell's second hit of the inning extended TCU's advantage to 10-1.
Sixth inning home runs from Strosnider and Dallimore gave the Frogs the double-digit cushion, 12-1.
