No. 7 Horned Frogs primed for trip to South Dakota
BROOKINGS, S.D. – For the first time in 2026, the seventh-ranked TCU equestrian team will hit the road to face No. 10 South Dakota State and Delaware State in the Mount Rushmore State beginning on Friday.
The weekend for the Frogs will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday against the 10th-ranked Jackrabbits. TCU will then face Delaware State at 3:30 p.m., with Flat and Reining occurring on Friday. The meet against the Hornets will conclude on Saturday morning, with Horsemanship and Fences beginning at 8 a.m.
TCU (4-3) opened its spring slate strong last week, defeating then-No. 7 UC Davis 14-4 during the annual meet at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. Thanks to their performances against the Aggies, Cassie Hacking and Piper Keller earned Big 12 Rider of the Month honors for January.
SCOUTING THE JACKRABBITS
This weekend marks the first meet for South Dakota State (3-4) in the spring season. During the fall, the Jackrabbits knocked off Minnesota Crookston twice and UT Martin, while falling to Fresno State, UC Davis, UT Martin and South Carolina, all on the road.
SCOUTING THE HORNETS
Delaware State (2-2) is also opening its spring slate this weekend. All four of the Hornets' meets in the fall were at home, and they defeated Minnesota Crookston and UT Martin while falling to Georgia and UC Davis.

TCU freshman Lily Muzzy earned her third MOP in Fences of the season against UC Davis. She is one of just two freshmen nationally to earn three MOP accolades so far this season in a single event, and Muzzy is the only one to do so in Fences.
