Strosnider hits 11th home run of the season
CORVALLIS, Ore. – USC put up multiple runs in four different innings en route to handing TCU a 13-1 loss in the opening game of the NCAA Corvallis Regional at Goss Stadium. Sawyer Strosnider provided the lone offense of the contest for the Frogs with his 11th home run of the season.

The Rundown
USC took advantage of a lead-off walk in the second to take a lead it would never relinquish. The run scored on a two-out base knock. The Trojans loaded the bases with nobody out in the fourth. With a run in and nobody out, Louis Rodriguez took over and retired three straight, but a run scored for a 3-0 lead.

Sawyer Strosnider's one-out home run in the fourth pulled the Frogs within two, 3-1.Â

From there it was all USC. The Trojans struck for a trio of runs in the sixth and seventh innings to build a 9-1 lead. Four walks and a hit batter in the ninth led to four more runs for USC to account for the final score.

USC's Caden Aoki limited TCU to just four base runners in his eight innings on the mound. TCU never sent more than four batters to the plate in an inning.

Tommy LaPour (8-3) took the loss after allowing three runs on six hits. He walked one and struck out five. Louis Rodriguez was touched for three runs on five hits in 2 1/3. Cohen Feser retired both batters he faced. Trever Baumler punched out three in his 1 2/3 innings.Â
