
TCU Heads To Corvallis; Faces USC

TCU is in a regional for 18th time in last 21 postseasons
FORT WORTH - The NCAA Baseball Regional brackets were announced Monday on ESPN2. The TCU Horned Frogs will be a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Corvallis (Oregon State) Regional. The Frogs are back in the regionals for the 18th time in the last 21 postseasons. They will face the region's three-seed, USC on Friday.
The other game in the Corvallis Regional will see No. 1 Oregon State versus No. 4 Saint Mary's Friday. The tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 30 and run through Monday. The Beavers are the No. 8 overall National Seed.
This is the Frogs' 20th overall trip to the regionals. The previous 19 trips came in 1956, 1994, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 23. TCU is one of just 13 teams nationally to play in 18 of the last 21 regionals.
The winner of the Corvallis Regional will play the winner of the Tallahassee (Florida State) Regional in the Super Regionals. The four teams in that region include, No. 9 seed Florida State, Northeastern, Mississippi State and Bethune-Cookman.
The Big 12 earned eight bids to the tournament: Arizona is a No. 2 in Eugene (Oregon) Regional, West Virginia is a No. 2 Clemson Region, while Kansas is also No. 2 Fayetteville (Arkansas) Region. Arizona State is a No. 3 in the Los Angeles (UCLA) Region, Cincinnati is a No. 3 in the Knoxville (Tennessee) Region, Kansas State a No. 3 Austin (Texas) Regional and Oklahoma State is a No. 3 Athens (Georgia) Region.
