
Horned Frogs in Fifth at Big 12 Championship After 18 Holes

Min-Gaultier tied for 10th after shooting a one-over 72
HOCKLEY, Texas – No. 15 TCU put itself in position to place highly at the Big 12 Championship following the first round of play on Tuesday at The Clubs at Houston Oaks.
The Horned Frogs are tied for fifth after shooting a nine-over 293. TCU played even-par golf on the front nine and maintain top three positioning at the turn. The Frogs, seeded second in the 14-team tournament, collected a trio of birdies on holes 16 through 18 to move toward the front of the field.
No team finished under par. Arizona and Iowa State are co-leaders at one-over (285).
All four of the Frogs counting scored cracked the top-30 of the individual leaderboard.
Camille Min-Gaultier turned in TCU's best score, as the freshman finished plus-one (72) and is tied for 10th. The nation's No. 55 ranked player, Min-Gaultier has now been TCU's top performer through 18 holes of play in four of the Frogs' last five events.
Kirstin Angosta finished one stroke back of Min-Gaultier to join a tie for 18th. Meagan Winans and Sofia Barroso Sá are knotted at 27th after signing a pair of two-over 74 scorecards.
Min-Gaultier, Angosta and Winans bagged two birdies apiece.
Angosta rattled off two consecutive birdies on holes two and three to begin her day. The sophomore found herself tied for second at two-under 33 through nine holes.
Winans closed birdie on holes 17 and 18.
Barroso Sá was on track to match Min-Gaultier's scorecard before an untimely double bogey on 18. She played even-par golf on the front nine and leads the 70-player field in pars (16). Barroso Sá turned in a counter for the 90th time in 94 career rounds played as a Horned Frog.
Gracie McGovern capped TCU's five-player showing with a six-over 77. She was plus-two (38) on the back nine and delivered the Horned Frogs' third-lowest score following the turn.

TCU will start on the back nine to begin Wednesday's second round. The Horned Frogs will tee off in 10-minute intervals beginning at 9:10 a.m. and are paired with fourth-place Oklahoma State (+5, 289) and UCF, who holds the second share of fifth.
