Football Game at ASU Moved to Friday Night

Horned Frogs and Sun Devils will meet on Sept. 26 in Tempe
IRVING, Texas -- The Big 12 and its television partners have announced that TCU football's conference opener this season at Arizona State has been moved from Saturday, Sept. 27, to Friday, Sept. 26.
A kickoff time and television coverage will be announced later.
The Horned Frogs and Sun Devils will be meeting on the gridiron for the first time since 1975. TCU is making its first appearance at Mountain America Stadium since the 2012 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl against Michigan State.
TCU won its final four games and six of the last seven to close this past season with a 9-4 record. The Horned Frogs open the 2025 campaign on Labor Day Night, Sept. 1, at North Carolina.
Returning quarterback Josh Hoover set a TCU season passing record in 2024 with 3,949 yards. He led the Big 12 while ranking fifth nationally with 61 completions of at least 20 yards. He ranks No. 1 in the FBS in that category for returning signal callers this fall. Hoover is also the lone returning quarterback nationally to average 300 yards per game passing (303.8) and have a passer rating of at least 150 (151.1).
