TCU Finishes Third at PRC Championships

Zaun and Passmore qualify for the finals
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 5 TCU women's rifle team posted a 2,387 air rifle score on Day 2 of the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships. Combined with its Day 1 total of 2,345, TCU finished third overall with a final score of 4,732. Katie Zaun and Rylie Passmore advanced to the individual finals, with Zaun securing third-place and Passmore eighth.
Alaska Fairbanks took home the title with a 4,758 aggregate, recording 2,367 in smallbore and 2,391 in air rifle. Ole Miss placed second with a 4,746 aggregate. Air Force followed in fourth with a 4,706 aggregate, and Nebraska rounded out the top five with a 4,699 aggregate.
Overall, Zaun turned in a third place finish among competitors, shooting an aggregate of 1,190. Passmore finished ninth overall with an aggregate of 1,183.
Zaun led the team with a 598, followed by Passmore's career-high 597. Christina Hillinger also shot a 597. Micah Hames and Mikole Hogan both recorded 595, rounding out TCU's counting scores.
With Ziva Swick's 591 and Marissa Fedora's 590, all seven shooters for the Horned Frogs fired a 590 or better.
The Horned Frogs will return to action on Feb. 15, traveling to Oxford, Miss., to face Ole Miss and Murray State.
