Vives Named Big 12 Player of the Week

First Horned Frog to earn award in 2025
FORT WORTH - TCU men's tennis senior Pedro Vives has been selected as the Big 12 Player of the Week.
Since Feb. 14, Vives has gone 4-0 in singles play with all four wins coming against ranked foes. He took down No. 7 DK Suresh of Wake Forest in the final of the ITA Indoor National Championships. Vives was named to the ITA Indoor National Championships All-Tournament Team for No. 2 singles.
The doubles pairing of Vives and Maxted is 11-1 in 2025 and went 3-1 in the ITA Indoor National Championships. The duo took down the No. 1 ranked doubles pair of Stian Klaassen and Oliver Tarvet of San Diego.
Last week, Vives reached a career-high ranking of No. 2 in the latest ITA singles rankings. He is 7-0 overall in singles play in 2025 and owns two top-10 wins.
The Horned Frogs will be back in action on Monday vs. No. 42 USF at noon.
