Frogs set for last meet before Big 12 Championship
FORT WORTH – The TCU swim and dive team hits the road one last time before heading to the Big 12 Championships.
The Frogs will travel to Austin, Texas, for the Sterkel Classic on Feb. 1. The meet will kick off at 11 a.m. at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center, where the Horned Frogs will compete against Texas, SMU, and Rice.
LAST TIME OUT
The Frogs dominated in both swimming and diving, opening with victories in the men's and women's 200 medley relays.
On the women's side, Jordan Edwards (1000 freestyle), Rylee Moore (100 backstroke), and Olivia Rhodes (50 freestyle) secured wins, and TCU swept the 200 butterfly.
For the men, Jadon Wuilliez (100 breaststroke), Luke Dimiceli (50 & 100 freestyle), and Filip Suchanski (200 backstroke) led standout performances, and ended by a 400 freestyle relay victory.
In diving, Anna Kwong swept the women's 1-meter and 3-meter events, making history by becoming the first woman in TCU history to surpass 400 points (415.30) and breaking the school record in the 3-meter dive.
On the men's side, in the 1-meter David Ekdahl, Bryn James, and Elliott Dillon led a podium sweep. In the 3-meter, Bryn James earned gold, while Dillon and Ekdahl rounded out the podium in second and third respectively.
