Kaleb Elarms-Orr, Eric McAlister and Jamel Johnson receive First Team recognition
LEWISVILLE, Texas – A trio of TCU football players earned First Team and two were tabbed to the Second Team of the Dave Campbell's Texas Football All-Texas College Football Team, the organization announced on Tuesday morning.
Earning the First Team nod was linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr, wide receiver Eric McAlister and safety Jamel Johnson. Edge Devean Deal and safety Bud Clark were named to the Second Team.
All five were previously named to the All-Big 12 Team, with Elarms-Orr and McAlister picking up a First Team honor while Deal, Clark and Johnson were tabbed to the Second Team.
Elarms-Orr has enjoyed a breakout season in 2025. Against Baylor and West Virginia, he was the first Frog to post consecutive 15-plus tackle games since at least 1995 (records do not go back further). For the season, the senior posted 119 tackles and 9.5 TFLs to lead the team in both categories. Of his 119 tackles, 57 have been solo.
McAlister had one of the best regular seasons in TCU receiver history in 2025, currently sitting in second place on the single-season receiving yard charts with 1,121. He also eclipsed the 100-yard mark six times this season, which ties Josh Doctson's 2015 mark for most in a single season in TCU history.
Johnson turned his momentum in 2024 into a breakout season this year. He has picked up 89 tackles on the season, along with three TFLs. He also has four interceptions this season, tying Clark for the team lead.
During the 2025 season, Deal posted 50 tackles and 8.5 TFLs, along with 3.5 sacks. The El Paso native also added a fumble recovery for a touchdown during the season opener.
Rounding out the selections for TCU, Clark continued his stellar career during the 2025 season, posting 54 tackles along with recording four interceptions to move himself up to fourth on TCU's career list with 15.
