Horned Frogs embark on first appearance in College Cup

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time in school history, the TCU women's soccer team is set to play in the College Cup. The second-seeded Frogs will face off against the No. 3 seed Florida State Seminoles in the NCAA Semifinals on Friday at 5 p.m. at CPKC Stadium.

TCU NOTABLES

TCU will play in its first-ever College Cup match when it faces off against Florida State, as the Frogs look to book their first appearance in the NCAA National Championship game.
TCU is 10-7-3 overall in its matchups in the NCAA Tournament, earning six of those wins in Fort Worth.
The Frogs' defense has continued the tradition of making it difficult for opponents to score, allowing one or less goals in 18 of 23 matches.

Seven Castain is TCU's top goal scorer, having 17 goals on the year with seven of those being game-winning goals.
Cameron Patton and Sydney Becerra lead TCU with nine assists.
TCU is one of eight Big 12 programs to make the NCAA Tournament, joining the likes of Baylor, BYU Colorado, Kansas, Texas Tech, UCF and West Virginia. Out of all these teams, the Frogs are the only conference team still standing.
With Castain's hat trick against Grambling State and brace against Memphis, the senior now has six multi-goal games on the season and two hat tricks.
TCU won the Big 12 regular season title in back-to-back seasons and four times in the past six years.
TCU earned three wins over top-15 opponents during the regular season, defeating No. 9 Iowa, No. 10 Baylor and No. 14 Kansas.
Olivia Geller has played the most matches in goal for TCU this season, securing 17 starts including the last eight matches. She's posted 58 saves on the year and a GAA of 0.87.
TCU has had eight multi-goal performances this year: Seven Castain (6), Emma Yolinsky (1) and Kamdyn Fuller (1).

FLORIDA STATE NOTABLES

The Seminoles are participating in the College Cup for the fourth time in the last five years.
The attacking trio of Jordynn Dudley, Wrianna Hudson and Taylor Suarez has combined for 29 goals and 23 assists for Florida State this season.
With four national titles and 15 College Cup appearances, Florida State has made 26 total and consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, every year since 2000, and is in the College Cup for the fourth time in the last five years in 2025.
