TCU Posts Pair of Wins Over Oklahoma Christian

Horned Frogs have successful Saturday in the pool with 25 event wins
FORT WORTH – The first-place finishes were aplenty for the TCU swimming and diving team on Saturday afternoon, as both the men's and women's squad earned victories over Oklahoma Christian at the TCU Recreational Center.
The women's side posted a 198-53 victory, while the men's squad defeated the Eagles 180-71. For the meet, TCU won a total of 25 events on both the men's and women's side combined. There were only three events on the day in which there was not a Frog who finished first.
To get the day started, the women's quartet of Aubrey Finn, Nina Vadovicova, Karolin Victoria Kotsar and Paige Taber grabbed first in the event, posting a collective time of 1:45.76. On the men's side, Edgar Cicanci, Felipe Goncalves, Lio Mizrahi and Michael Valenzuela also placed first with a 1:31.61.
Amanda Ulicny would touch the wall in 10:37.11 to win the 1000 free, while freshman Deacon Gutshall would follow suit with a 9:27.74. Hannah Wachendorfer (1:56.26) and Braedon Ando (1:42.71) also secured victories in the 200 free to continue the excellent starting momentum for TCU.
The 100 back saw no different from the Frogs, as Audrey Worgull posted a 56.70 and Nick Rozenberg threw down a 51.26 to post another event sweep. The 100 breast saw the first event where TCU did not capture an event sweep, but Seanna Muhitch was still able to capture a 1:06.24 to give the Frogs a victory in the event.
The 50 fly saw Nigel Forbes (22.05) and Molly Cullen (25.75) notch a pair of wins. Heading toward the first break, Vadovicova (24.84) finished first in the 50 free to round out the onslaught of victories for TCU in the first portion of the day's proceedings.
Coming out of the break, Avery Dillon (52.69) continued her winning ways in freestyle events , finishing first in the 100 free, while Nigel Forbes (46.10) also posted a victory on the men's side.
In the 50 back and 50 breast, TCU saw three victories from Worgull, Edgar Cicanci and Colin Clough to keep TCU rolling into the final distance event of the day. In the 500 free. Amelia Snyder touched the wall in 5:07.57 to earn a win and Luka Cavic barely edged out Giannis Skaris to earn the victory on the men's side.
In the final set of individual events of the day, the Frogs were first greeted from a pair of wins by Stella Todd and Viktor Hristov in the 100 fly. Following those triumphs, Nina Vadovicova earned a typical victory in the 200 IM, while freshman Shea Skarda followed up on the men's side.
To close things out in the 200 free relay, TCU first posted a 1:39.06 time on the women's side as the quartet of Snyder, Cullen, Taylor Steelman and Morgan Gore earned a win in the event. In the final race of the day, Hristov, Lior Mizrahi, Quint Erwin and Luka Cavic totaled a time of 1:24.69 to post yet another triumph to close out the day.

The Frogs will stay at home for a pair of meets in the month of January. First, TCU will go up against Trinity (Jan. 3) and then face off against Texas Permian Basin (Jan. 10).
