
Lipacis Picks up Two MOPs, No. 7 TCU Takes Down No. 6 Oklahoma State, 12-8, in Season Opener

TCU moves to 1-0 on the season and in the Big 12
FORT WORTH – Five Frogs earned the first victories of their career as seventh-ranked TCU Equestrian took down No. 6 Oklahoma State by a score of 12-8 on Friday afternoon at KSM Bear Creek Farms.
TCU (1-0) opened with victories in Fences and Horsemanship to enter the break with a 7-3 lead. The success would continue on the Flat, as TCU earned four more points to secure its season-opening victory.
The Frogs earned MOP honors in three events, with Lex Lipacis taking it in Fences and on the Flat, and Sydney Feager earning the honor in Horsemanship. For Oklahoma State (0-1), Emma Filiatreau took the MOP in reining.
HOW IT HAPPENED
TCU took an early 4-1 lead in Fences thanks to four victories by Frogs in the event. Jordyn Scelsa, Lily Muzzy, Lilly Goldstein and Lex Lipacis all picked up the wins, with Lipacis earning an MOP in the event.
The Frogs continued their success in the Western arena by taking a narrow 3-2 victory in Horsemanship. Calla Thomas, Sydney Feager and Tatum Keller all earned wins, and Feager claimed the MOP award.
On the Flat, TCU was able to secure its victory thanks to points by Goldstein, Victoria Zahorik, Madi Lo Porto and Lipacis. In addition, Lipacis earned her second MOP of the day.
In the final event of reining, the Frogs took just one point by way of Lannie-Jo Lisac, but the meet was already decided.
