FORT WORTH – No. 12 TCU will play it's Big 12 leading ninth match against a ranked opponent when it welcomes No. 18 Kansas to Schollmaier Arena on Wednesday, October 1, at 6:30 p.m. CT before rounding out the week with a road match at Texas Tech on Saturday, October 4, at 1 p.m.
TCU NOTABLES
• After a 1-1 week to open conference play, TCU checked in at No. 12 in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Coaches Poll.
• The Frogs have won a program record five matches against top-25 teams this season. The Frogs upset the defending national champions No. 5 Penn State, dominated No. 19 UCLA on back-to-back nights, knocked off No. 8 Texas A&M and defeated No. 23 Missouri.
• Playing on their home court, the Frogs have won 15 straight matches dating back to last season. TCU is 21-1 in Schollmaier Arena since the start of 2024.

• Sarah Sylvester tallied her 400th career block over the weekend and moved into third on TCU's all-time blocks list. She is one of 14 active players in NCAA D1 Volleyball with 400 blocks.
• Senior captain and preseason All-Big 12 member Jalyn Gibson announced on Sept. 5 that she suffered a season-ending knee injury in TCU's win over Penn State.
• Heading into the 2025 season, TCU was picked to finish fifth in the Big 12 Conference, receiving one first place vote.
NO SOPHOMORE SLUMP
• A large reason for TCU's success this season has been its contributions from the sophomore class.
• After earning All-Big 12 Rookie honors last season, Becca Kelley and Alice Volpe have only elevated their game.
• With one of the biggest swings on the court, Kelley ranks second on the team with 147 kills this season.
• Known for "crushing balls and breaking fingers," she has finished with double-digit kills nine times this year.
• Covering the entire floor, Volpe leads the team with 210 digs and ranks third in the Big 12 with 4.04 per set.
• So far this season, she has tallied double-digit digs in 11 of 14 matches.
• Volpe also registered a career-best 23 digs in the win over Wyoming, the third most in a three-set match in TCU history.
• Sophomore Evan Hendrix has also burst onto the scene, leading the Frogs offensively with 184 kills (3.68 per set).
• She has double-digit kills in 11 of TCU's 14 matches this year, including a career-high 32 against No. 23 Missouri.
HOME SWEET HOME
• TCU has won 15 straight matches on its home court dating back to last season (7-0 in 2025).
• Further, the Frogs are 21-4 in sets played at home this season.
• TCU went 14-1 at home in Schollmaier Arena last year, tied for the most wins at home in program history in a single season.
• Williams is 38-12 at home during his tenure as a head coach.
SAVING HER BEST FOR LAST
• Senior middle blocker Sarah Sylvester is having a one of the best years of her career in 2025.
• This season, the Livonia, Michigan, native leads the Big 12 Conference with 1.44 blocks per set (23rd nationally) and has the most rejections in the league with 72 (14th in the country).
• And while she's always been a defensive standout, this season it's been her offensive numbers that are a career best.
• At not even the halfway point in the season, Sylvester has nearly eclipsed her 2024 season kill total (83) with 81.
• What's most impressive about it all is that she is hitting at a blistering .439 clip, the top mark in the Big 12.
