Reynolds leads the Frogs with 14 points
LUBBOCK, Texas – TCU dropped its second-straight road game, 71-57, at No. 22 Texas Tech on Wednesday at United Supermarkets Arena.
The Horned Frogs (10-10, 3-6) held a lead two times, including a one-point, 39-38, with 16:36 to play. The Red Raiders (16-4, 7-2) immediately regained the advantage and led by as many as 14 points, 62-48, with 6:13 remaining.
A 7-0 TCU run brought the Frogs to within seven, 62-55, with 3:56 to play. The Frogs then missed its next 10 shot attempts. The Red Raiders made one of their last seven shot attempts but went 6-of-8 from the free throw line in the last minute and 18 seconds.
Tech shot 71.4 percent (15-of-21) from the free throw line while TCU was 54.5 percent (12-of-22).
Noah Reynolds led the Frogs with 14 points and three assists. He scored 12 of his points in the second half when TCU shot 30 percent from the field, part of a 35.1 percent effort for the game.
Tech, which shot 46.9 percent from the field, was led by JT Toppin's 18 and 14 rebounds.
TCU will return to action on Sunday at 3 p.m. when it hosts Colorado at Schollmaier Arena. The game will air on ESPN+.

- TCU moved to 56-88 all-time against Texas Tech and 8-10 against the Red Raiders under Jamie Dixon.

- Noah Reynolds scored a team-high 14 points. It was his 11th game scoring in double figures and eighth time leading the team in points.
- Reynolds led the team with three assists. It was the seventh time this season he led the team in assists.
- Brendan Wenzel scored 11 points, his 10th game this season in double figures.
- Vasean Allette had two points and played in just seven minutes in the second half due to illness. His double-figure scoring streak ended at 10.
- Malick Diallo scored a career-high eight points to go with six rebounds off the bench.
