Butkus Award Tabs Obiazor for its Watch List

TCU's leading tackler was All-Big 12 last season
CHICAGO -- The Butkus Award has selected TCU linebacker Namdi Obiazor to its preseason watch list.
Named after football legend Dick Butkus, the Butkus Award recognizes the nation's top linebacker.
Obiazor was All-Big 12 last season and Honorable-Mention Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, leading TCU with 84 tackles and 4.0 sacks. He placed second on the Horned Frogs with six quarterback hurries and third with 6.0 tackles for loss. He reached double figures in stops in two games while taking part in a TFL in six contests.
Obiazor, who also appears on the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List, has played in all 27 games the last two seasons with 133 tackles. He is a senior from Eden Prairie, Minn.
