TCU wide receiver/kick returner recognized for his versatility
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- TCU wide receiver/kick returner Major Everhart has been selected to the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award, recognizing the most versatile player in major college football.
Everhart placed sixth on the Horned Frogs last season with 20 receptions while also serving as the primary kickoff returner, averaging 22.3 yards per attempt. He totaled a career-high four receptions in the 34-17 win over SMU and had three catches against Houston, Baylor and Oklahoma. His career-long 86-yard kickoff return set up a go-ahead score in the fourth quarter against Colorado. It was TCU's longest return since Derius Davis took the game's opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown against West Virginia in 2021.
A sophomore from Amarillo, Texas, Everhart was Second-Team Academic All-Big 12 last season.
