Lau tied for 34th, two strokes back of top-15
BRYAN, Texas – Lois Lau is tied for 34th following the first round of play at the NCAA Bryan Regional, hosted by Texas A&M at The Traditions Club.
Lau shot a three-over 75 and carded three birdies to commence her seventh career postseason tournament.
Seeded third among six individuals, Lau started on the first tee and played even-par golf over her first 12 holes. She was tied for the tournament lead in par-3 scoring at 2.67 (-2) two-thirds of the way through. Lau, TCU's lone senior concluded her round even on par-3s and par-5s.
She was joined in Bryan-College Station alongside No. 4 seed Sofia Barroso Sá. The sophomore withdrew following her first 16 holes of play. She was seven-over at the time of her exit.
Lau begins round two at the first tee box at 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday. She is paired with Kansas State's Carla Bernat and Ryann Honea of Abilene Christian.
