
TCU Concludes Participation at NCAA Individual Championships

Four Frogs advance to Round of 16
STILLWATER, Okla. - TCU's historic run in Stillwater came to an end on Wednesday afternoon as all four Horned Frogs competing at the NCAA Individual Championships fell in the round of 16
Jake Fearnley's legendary TCU career came to a close in the Round of 16 in the singles championship when he was defeated by No. 23 Michael Zheng of Columbia. Fearnley lost the first set, 2-6, battled back to win the second set, 6-3 before ultimately falling 4-6. Fearnley leaves TCU as a four-time All-American and collected 83 singles wins and 69 doubles wins over five years. Fearnley was also a four-time All-Big 12 first-team selection and a three-time national champion including the 2024 NCAA title captured just three days ago.
Jack Pinnington's excellent 2024 came to a close as well in the Round of 16 when he lost to No. 8 Ozan Baris of Michigan State. Pinnington fell 1-6, 6-7(5). Pinnington amassed a 35-8 overall record with 23 wins coming in dual play. He was 27-7 against ranked foes and was a first-team All-Big 12 selection. Pinnington was named the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
Sebastian Gorzny and Pedro Vives fell to No. 11 Petar Jovanovic and Benito Sanchez Martinez of Mississippi State, 4-6, 5-7. The duo was the ITA Texas Regional Champions, an ITA National Fall Championships Semifinalists and were the highest ranked Big 12 doubles pair at season's end. The pairing earned 26 wins along with second-team All-Big 12 honors.
