The Rundown

TCU did a good job in the first limiting Kansas State to just two runs after the Wildcats loaded the bases with nobody out. The Frogs cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the inning. Anthony Silva was hit to lead off the frame, stole second, advanced to third on a fly ball and scored on a wild pitch.
Trailing 3-1, TCU exploded for six runs in the fourth inning. Jack Arthur tied the game with a double. Two batters later, the Frogs had a 4-3 lead on a base hit from Peyton Chatagnier. Karson Bowen beat out a ground ball to drive in a run. An errant throw on a stolen base allowed Chatagnier to score and Logan Maxwell capped the inning with an RBI-double for a 7-3 lead.
Kansas State picked up an unearned run in the fifth. In a bid for another run, Nick English tried to score on a ball that got away from the catcher, but Bowen fired a strike to Zachary Cawyer covering the plate for the out.
Louis Rodriguez started and allowed three runs on five hits. He walked two and struck out one in the no-decision. Braeden Sloan (4-3) picked up the win in relief. He allowed an unearned run on three hits and walked two in 1 ⅓ innings of work.
