Beauchamp, Wilt lead Horned Frogs with 17th place finish
IOWA CITY, Iowa – TCU matched its best finish in a tournament this season on Sunday, finishing tied for second at the Hawkeye Invitational.
The Horned Frogs shot 2-under 282 in the final round and finished 7-under 845 for the tournament, which tied with Southern Illinois. Wisconsin won the tournament at 12-under 840.
TCU was led by Jack Beauchamp and Toby Wilt, who finished tied for 17th place at 1-under 212. Wilt repeated his first-round score with a 4-under 67, while Beauchamp shot 1-over 72.
Andrew Petruzzelli shot 4-over 75 in the final round to finish in a tie for 26th place at 1-over 214.
Ethan Dial had the Frogs' second-best round of the day, 1-under 70. He finished tied for 32nd place with a score of 2-over 215.
The Horned Frogs will continue the season April 22-24 at the Big 12 Championship, held at Whispering Pines in Trinity, Texas.
