
TCU Signs Touted U.S. Amateur O'Brien to 2025-26 Roster

Connecticut native is tabbed 44th in Global Junior Golf Rankings
FORT WORTH – TCU further solidified the future core of its lineup on Wednesday, as head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin announced the signing of Yvette O'Brien to a national letter of intent.
From Greenwich, Conn., O'Brien is ranked 44th among all U.S. amateurs in the class of 2025. She achieved a career-high World Amateur Golf ranking of 846th in October.
"We are so excited to sign such a great athlete and person," Ravaioli-Larkin said. "Yvette brings a wealth of experience at a high level of competition. We are thrilled to welcome Yvette and her family to our Frog Fam. She will be a tremendous asset on and off the golf course with her competitive fire, strength and perseverance."
O'Brien has medaled three times in the last calendar year. She won the 3rd CT Girl Jr Championship in July. O'Brien claimed the Jim McLean Jr Championship frow four months earlier. Last December, she took first at the First Tee Miami Doral Junior Classic. She also tallied a trio of runner-up finishes in July at the AJGA Nemacolin Jr Championship, 59th CT Women's Amateur and 3rd CT Girl Jr. Championship.
She boasts a low-18 personal record of 65 and career-best low-54 hole vs. par score of seven-under.
O'Brien is also a dedicated student. She has maintained a grade point average of 3.86 since her freshman year. O'Brien served as treasurer of the Grandview Preparatory School chapter of National Honors Society from 2023-24 and has been a member of Spanish National Honor Society for two years. She additionally earned a pre-college certificate from Georgetown University in the spring of 2023.
A multi-sport athlete, O'Brien has competed in lacrosse and squash and trained professionally in ballet.
O'Brien will be a freshman on the Horned Frogs' 2025-26 team. TCU is expected to graduate just one player in May, with O'Brien joining a roster that presently boasts four returning top-200 players in Kirstin Angosta, Sofia Barroso Sa, Camille Min-Gaultier and Gracie McGovern.

She then relocated in in 2022 with her family to Boca Raton, Fla., ad she enrolled at Grandview Preparatory School. O'Brien placed fifth out of 95 individuals at the 2023 Florida High School 1A State Championship.
