
Preview: Women's Swim and Dive Host SMU and Arkansas in Home Opener

FORT WORTH – The TCU women's swimming and diving team will open their home slate against SMU and Arkansas this Friday, Nov. 1. The meet is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT at the TCU Recreational Center. Live results can be found on Meet Mobile.
Following tomorrow's competition, TCU will travel to Dallas, Texas to compete against Arkansas and SMU again on Saturday, Nov. 2.
LAST TIME OUT
The Frogs opened up their 2024-25 season on the road in a two-day meet against Texas A&M and BYU.
On day one, Rylee Moore grabbed a third place finish in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:02.87 and grad transfer Maddy Burt secured third in her first meet as a Horned Frog, touching the wall in 55.73 in the 100 fly. Rhodes picked up the lone win for the TCU women, out-touching the field in the 50 free in 23.43 seconds.
As a team, the 400 medley relay of Moore, Nina Vadovicova, Burt and Rhodes finished third (3:44.72) behind both Texas A&M squads and the 200 freestyle relay of Rhanishka Gibbs, Burt, Lexi Drap and Karolin Victoria Kotsar also place third (1:37.20).
The two-day meet was concluded with a win against BYU for the women, highlighted by Anna Kwong's first place 1-meter dive (301.10).
The day started with a second place finish by the women's 200 yard medley relay of Rylee Moore, Claire Chahbandour, Maddy Burt, and Olivia Rhodes, finishing in 1:43.18. Freshman Seanna Muhitch led the team in the 1000 yard freestyle, placing fifth with a time of 10:18.01. In one of her signature events, Moore finished third in the 100 yard backstroke with a 56.18.
Chahbandour was the first Frog to the wall in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:04.40, and Ella Stein followed with a 1:04.93. Serena Gould placed fourth in the 100 freestyle (51.39), Jordan Edwards finished fifth in the 200 butterfly (2:06.84), and Chahbandour was fourth in the 100 IM (58.40), rounding out the women's individual events for the day.
The women's 400 yard freestyle relay of Gould, Burt, Chahbandour, and Olivia Rhodes, took second place with a 3:27.49.
