
Frogs Take Down Bears at Last Fall Home Meet

Horned Frogs stay undefeated at home
FORT WORTH – The No.3 TCU equestrian team defeated Baylor 12-8 on Thursday, Oct. 10 at KSM Bear Creek Farms. This marks the third season in a row the Frogs have concluded their fall season undefeated at home.
The Frogs swept the Most Outstanding Performer awards, with Lilly Goldstein in the fences, Alexandra Lipacis in the flat, Shea Graham in the horsemanship, and Kaylene Cunningham in the reining.
FENCES
The meet got started in the fences arena where the Horned Frogs took a 3-2 lead. Ashleigh Scully earned the first point for the Frogs with an 82 on Van. The event MOP, Lilly Goldstein followed with an 85.5 on Fats, securing her point. Maggie Dumrauf claimed her first career win with an 84.5 on Java.
REINING
In the western arena, Kaylene Cunningham kicked things off with a 71.5 on Alfie, earning the MOP. Lannie-Jo Lisac followed scoring a 70.5 on Britney. Shea Graham kept the momentum going by winning her point on Roxie with a 71.25. Kylie Baker picked up the last point in the event with her 66.25 ride on Boogie Man, giving the Frogs a 4-1 lead in the event.
FLAT
The flat started the second half of the meet. Laurel Smith took home her third win of the season with her 76 on Lui. Lex Lipacis followed with a 74 on Lina, earning her first career MOP honors. The event ended 2-3 Bears.
HORSEMANSHIP
Back in the western arena, the Frogs topped the Bears 3-2. Sidney Dunham earned her first career win with her score of 71.75 on Hector. Shea Graham followed, picking up her first horsemanship MOP of the season with a 72 on Jake. Payton Boutelle closed out the meet, scoring a 72.5 on Cupid to secure the final point for the Frogs.
UP NEXT
The Horned Frogs will travel to Fresno, Calif. on Friday, October 18 to take on the Bulldogs for their final Big 12 matchup of the fall.
