WEST LAFAYETTE - No. 25 TCU scored two unanswered goals in the final 22 minutes to earn a come-from-behind 2-1 victory at Purdue Thursday night.
The Rundown
TCU found itself facing a 1-0 deficit just over two minutes into the second half, but from that point on, it was all TCU. Gracie Brian found the equalizer in the 67th minute as she fired a shot into back right corner of the net. Olivia Hasler set the play in motion with a great steal and feed to Brian for the shot.
The Frogs kept the pressure on and were rewarded in the 79th minute. AJ Hennessey carried the ball from her defensive zone and fired a laser shot from 30 yards out to give the Frogs the lead. In the first half, the Frogs controlled possession almost the entire half but were outshot 6-5 in the opening 45 minutes of action. Purdue's tally in the 48th minute came on a breakaway, but from there it was all TCU.
The Frogs outshot the Boilermakers 8-2 in the frame.
Lauren Kellett finished with two saves on the night, one in each half.

Quotes of the Game:
Head Coach Eric Bell
Overall thoughts
"I'm proud of our group for figuring out a way to get a win against a worthy opponent. I think we worked our butts off in the second half to give ourselves a chance to be successful. I was really impressed with the fight that we had coming into the second half. Even before they scored the goal, I thought that we were on the front foot at the beginning of the second half. And you know, give up a goal on a counterattack off of our set piece. We continued to stay with it. Gracie and AJ scored two world-class goals. We're really proud of the group. Two great goals, fantastic goals, but now we turn our sights to Butler."
