
TCU Drops Rubber Match Sunday

FORT WORTH – UNC Wilmington used a trio of big innings to take the rubber match, handing TCU a 12-6 loss Sunday afternoon at Lupton Stadium. Brayden Taylor homered twice and drove in five in the loss.
The Rundown
Tre Richardson opened the scoring with a one out home run in the first.
The lead would not hold as the Seahawks' first two hitters reached to lead off the second. A two out triple gave UNCW a lead it would never relinquish as the Seahawks ultimately scored four in the inning.
UNCW's lead grew to six, 7-1, with three more in the third. All three runs came with two outs in the inning.
TCU made it a two-run ballgame, 7-5, on Brayden Taylor's grand slam in the third.
UNCW scratched across another two out run in the fifth and struck for four more in the sixth to put the game out of reach. Taylor's second home run, a solo shot in the eighth, accounted for the final 12-6 score.
Cam Brown (2-2) took the loss after allowing four runs on three hits. He walked two and struck out two.
