Bjorklund threw the second-farthest mark in school history in the women's discuss
AUSTIN, Texas – TCU's throwers shined at the Longhorn Invitational, marking the first outdoor meet of the season.
Mathilda Bjorklund had a dominating win in the women's hammer, winning by 16 feet. She threw 56.50m (185' 4"), the second farthest throw in school history. She threw the winning mark on her second attempt.
Also notching a win was Samantha Callaway, who finished first in the women's discus. Her throw of 51.08m (167' 7") edged out the second-place finisher by over two feet.
In the men's discus, Kyler Van Grouw finished sixth overall with his throw of 46.74m (153' 4").
