
Horned Frogs Produce 13 Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award Recipients

FORT WORTH – A total of 13 TCU student athletes received the 2023 Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award by the Big 12 Conference
The award is the highest academic honor issued by the Big 12 Conference.
In order to be eligible for the accolade, student athletes must have lettered at least once in their career while maintaining residence at their institution for at least one academic year. The honoree, which can only be recognized once, must have 100 hours of earned credit and possess a cumulative grade-point average of 3.80 at the time of the nomination.
Of TCU's sports, swimming and diving led the way with five honorees. Soccer had the highest percentage of its 2022 roster receive the award, with four-of-28 athletes (15 percent) garnering the recognition. Equestrian produced two honorees while rifle and volleyball rounded out the TCU award-winners with one recipient apiece.
