
Frimodt Shoots 64 as Frogs Lead after 36 Holes

Four Frogs are inside the top 15
PHOENIX – TCU's Gustav Frimodt shot 7-under 64 in the second round of the GCU Invitational to help the TCU men's golf team lead after 36 holes.
Frimodt made eight birdies for the round and shot 4-under 32 on the back nine. The 7-under par was a career-low and ties for the third-best in program history.
Earlier in the day, Frimodt shot 2-under 69 in the first round. The senior shot 9-under 133 through 36 holes and sits in second place, one shy of the leader, Nate Adams of North Dakota State.
Maxence Giboudot made six birdies and shot 5-under 66 in the opening round and even-par 71 in the second. The freshman is tied for sixth place at 5-under 137.
Jacob Skov Olesen also made six birdies in the first round and shot 4-under 67. Olesen made two eagles in the second round, both on a par 5.
At 2-under 140, Olesen is tied for 11th place, one stroke ahead of Chris Berzina, who is tied for 15th. Berzina had an opening round of 2-under 69. After starting 4-under through five holes in the second round, Berzina finished 1-over 72.
Aymeric Laussot shot a first round score of 3-under 68, including an eagle on the par 5 No. 10 hole. He is tied for 38th at 3-over 145.
TCU leads the 16-team field by two shots over North Dakota State (-16). The Horned Frogs' first round score of 14-under 270 was their best 18-hole score in two seasons.
TCU will look for its first team title since 2021 on Tuesday when the final round begins with a shotgun start at 9:45 a.m.
