Fort Worth: Seven Horned Frogs have achieved honors for their efforts in the classroom as the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators announced their academic all-district teams.
These student-athletes have excelled in the classroom as well as the pool. On the women's side, Emma Hultquist, Jordan Edwards, Gracie Liang and Lucia Simovicova were named to the NCAA Women's Division 1 swimming and diving list, while Max Burman, Bryce Flynn and Parker Hughes were named to the men's list.
All athletes sported a GPA of 3.5 or higher as well as competing at the highest level in the water and on the boards.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
Up Next: The TCU Horned Frogs will swim at the American Short Course Championships from Thursday, March 2- Saturday, March 4 in Austin, Texas. The divers next competition is the NCAA Diving Zones from Tuesday, March 7-Thursday, March 9 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
