Frogs Earn Podium Spots After Day Two

Two Records Fall
Austin, Texas: The TCU Swim and Dive team put out some impressive performances in Day two of the Big 12 Championships in Austin, Texas.
The Frogs were led by two swimmers earning NCAA B cuts. Milan Fabian swam a personal best of 4:19.04 in the men's 500 freestyle. He cleared the B-cut zone by over three second for fourth place in the Championship Final.
Geremia Freri touched the wall in the 200 IM in the quickest 200 IM race in TCU history. Freri broke his own record in the 200 IM placing fifth overall in the final.
The 400 medley relay teams showed out for TCU in day two. The women's team complied of Rylee Moore, Jeanne Dahmen, Claire Chahbandour and Olivia Rhodes set a new team high in with a second-place finish and time of 3:37.97. The men's relay team of Jadon Wuilliez, Edgar Cicanci, Piotr Sadlowski and Milan Fabian also finished with a silver medal and a time of 3:09.67.
Other Horned Frogs appeared in a variety of championship final events. Jordan Edwards came in fifth place in the women's 500 freestyle with a personal best time of 4:50.01.
In the 50 freestyle, Olivia Rhodes and Serena Gould represented TCU in style. Both competitors qualified for the championship final with Rhodes placing fifth (22.86) and Gould in eighth (23.31). On the men's side, Wuilliez and Raphael Paiva Da Lima finished in the top of the Big 12 Conference.
The men's 3-meter competition ended with three Horned Frogs in the final. David Ekdahl (417.00) earned the fourth place spot with Max Burman (409.20) in sixth and Alec Hubbard (364.35) in seventh.
