Lau and Zaun honored by TCU.
FORT WORTH – Lois Lau of women's golf and Katie Zaun of rifle have been named TCU Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by SciFit Center.
Lau led TCU with a third-place finish at the Jim West Invitational after finishing the tournament at 14-under (202), just two shots shy of the 54-hole school record. The senior carded 18 birdies and one eagle through three rounds of play, moving into second place for all-time birdies made in a career (329). The Horned Frogs broke the team low-round record on the final day, shooting 17-under (271) as a team. TCU women's golf concluded play for the fall season and will begin in the spring.
Zaun led the Frogs with two first-place finishes in both disciplines and among all shooters at Air Force. While capturing two gold finishes, Zaun also broke her career-high in the smallbore with a score of 594. She proceeded to score a 598 in air rifle, posting a 1,192-aggregate score. The Horned Frogs return to action this Saturday, Oct. 28, as they host No. 1 West Virginia and No. 3 Nebraska in Fort Worth.
