Team Notes
*Sonny Dykes became the first TCU head football coach to win his opening two games since Dutch Meyer in 1934. Dykes is the 11th Horned Frogs coach since Meyer.
*TCU and Tarleton, separated by just 77 miles, met for the first time on the gridiron.
*TCU played its only home game in the month of September.
*TCU's 630 yards of offense were its most in a game since totaling 688 in a 62-22 win at Baylor in 2016
*The Horned Frogs' 59 points were their most since a 59-23 win at Kansas in 2020.
*TCU had 88 players see action.
*TCU's only punt came with less than two minutes to play. The Horned Frogs were close to their first game without a punt since a 38-7 win over Air Force in 2010.
*TCU scored on nine of its 12 possessions in the game. The only non-scoring series ended with a missed field goal, a fumble out of the end zone and a punt in the final two minutes.
*Fifteen Horned Frogs combined for the team's 34 receptions.
*TCU scored for the 369th consecutive game, the second-longest streak in NCAA history. No. 1 is Florida at 425 games (1988-present). The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991, at Texas (32-0).

Individual Notes
Offense
*Quarterback Max Duggan made his 30th career start at TCU and led the Horned Frogs to scores on seven of his eight series. The only non-scoring series was a missed field goal.
*Duggan set career highs with 390 yards passing and five touchdown passes. He completed 23-of-29 attempts with no interceptions.
*Duggan's five touchdown passes were the most by a Horned Frog since Kenny Hill had five against Kansas in 2017. It also tied for second-most in a game by a Horned Frog.
*True freshman Jordan Hudson had a team-best five receptions for 76 yards, including his first career touchdown with a 29-yard scoring grab.
*Derius Davis' 19-yard scoring reception was his team-best third touchdown of the season. It was his 12th career touchdown via four different ways (five receiving, four punt returns, two rushing and one kickoff return). Davis later added a 2-point rush.
*Jared Wiley's first TCU touchdown was on a 6-yard reception.
*Blake Nowell had a career-best three catches for 60 yards, including a career long 44-yard reception.
*Kendre Miller's 1-yard touchdown run was his second of the season and 11th of his career.
*Chase Curtis' 37-yard reception was his first career catch.
*Quincy Brown had touchdown catches of 2 and 17 yards, giving him three career scoring receptions.
*Taye Barber had three catches for 66 yards. His 126 career receptions top all current Horned Frogs.
*Gunnar Henderson had a career-best two catches for 56 yards. His first reception of the season went for a career-long 39 yards.
*Sam Jackson's 1-yard scoring run marked his second straight game with a rushing touchdown.
*Emani Bailey's first TCU touchdown was on a 37-yard carry for the Horned Frogs' final points of the game.
Defense
*Jamoi Hodge led TCU with five tackles.
*George Ellis III recorded a career-best two tackles for loss while tying a career-high with three stops.
*Josh Newton recorded his first TCU interception on Tarleton's second series.
*Jaionte McMillan had his first career interception.
*Abe Camara had two pass breakups.
Special Teams
*Taye Barber returned the game's opening kickoff 22 yards. It was his first kickoff return since his freshman year in 2018.
*Luke Laminack had his first career field goal with a 36-yard second quarter make.
*Jordy Sandy placed his only punt of the game at the Tarleton 10-yard line. He is donating $20 to Fort Worth's Hope Center for Autism for every punt inside the 20-yard line and is now at $60 for the season.
