
Anigbata Earns Second Team All-America

The triple jumper placed 16th overall
EUGENE, Ore. — Grace Anigbata wrapped up her first year as a Horned Frog with Second Team All-America honors in the triple jump on the final day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Anigbata jumped 12.92m (42-3.75) enroute to placing 16th overall.
She has made her mark on the program in her first year at TCU. Earlier this season at the NCAA West Regional, she broke the school record in her NCAA-qualifying jump with a leap of 13.48m (44-2.75).
She placed eighth at this year's Big 12 Outdoor Championships in the triple jump. She also qualified for this year's NCAA Indoor Championships where she finished 15th overall.
TCU finished the NCAA Outdoor Championships with six athletes garnering All-America honors. Chengetayi (Du) Mapaya won his second national championship in the triple jump with a leap of 17.13m. The men's 4x100 team of Bryson Stubblefield, Tinotenda Matiyenga, Kundai Maguranyanga and Robert Gregory Jr. earned First Team honors with their seventh place finish and Gregory also became a First Team All-American in the 200m.
