Gums sits in 11th place after 18 holes
BRYAN, Texas – TCU's Justin Gums and Aymeric Laussot both shot under par to begin play at the NCAA Regional at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas.
Gums shot 2-under 70 for the opening round, his team-leading 17th round of par or better this season. After the second hole, the senior shot 3-under the remaining 16 holes with three birdies. He sits in a tie for 11th place, two shots out of third place and five back of the leader, Chase Sienkiewicz of Arizona.
Laussot shot 1-under 71 and is in a tie for 11th place. The junior shot 3-under over the final six holes and was 3-under 33 on the back nine with three birdies.
Laussot will begin Tuesday's second round at 9:42 a.m. and Gums will start at 10:04 a.m.
