
TCU Drops Series Opener at No. 3 Oklahoma State

FORT WORTH – No. 3 Oklahoma State scored in each of the first five innings en route to a 13-2 victory over No. 15 TCU Friday night at O'Brate Stadium. Brayden Taylor homered as part of a two hit game.
The Rundown
Oklahoma State saw the lead-off batter reach in each of the first four innings and each time turned the base runners into runs. The Cowboys scored one in the first and two in the second to open up a 3-0 lead. A three-run home run in the third pushed the lead to 6-0.
Brayden Taylor broke up the shutout with a two out solo home run in the fourth, but OSU responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning to make it a 10-1 ballgame.
The Cowboys added two more runs in the fifth on a two out, bases loaded single.
Luke Boyers' hit his third home run of the season in the eight. OSU got the run back in the bottom of the inning to account for the final score.
Riley Cornelio (3-3) took the loss after surrendering eight runs on 11 hits. He walked one and struck out two. Drew Hill, Braxton Pearson, Tommy Vail and Gray Thomas all saw time out of the bullpen.
